Federal Benefits Information
The Embassy strongly encourages recipients of federal benefit checks such as social security to use direct deposit whenever possible. Direct deposit is faster and more secure. If direct deposit is not available, the Social Security Administration and other federal benefits agencies may send checks via the Embassy in Antananarivo to be forwarded to the recipients.
