AIC Outreach and Training
The AIC contributes to the advancement of the U.S Mission goals in Madagascar by increasing knowledge and awareness of American policies, government, institutions, and society and topics relevant to US-Malagasy relations. It does so by responding to inquiries from our audience and by information promotion services through training, outside presentations or by providing background information with INFOPACKS on specific topics. Soon the AIC will be providing even more information to its audience on a regular basis.
In addition to providing information and responding to specific inquiries of our Malagasy contacts, AIC staff briefs eligible users, including journalists, on AIC services. Since the opening of the Press Center at the American Cultural Center in Antanimena, AIC staff provides instruction on using the AIC reference material and conduct first-hand and hands-on Internet search. Such training conducted twice a month for new Press center members strengthens their capabilities on information research and information gathering with the objective of supporting the professionalism of Malagasy journalists.
