Education USA

Why study in the United States?

Of the millions of students pursuing post-secondary education outside their home countries, more than one-third choose to study in the United States. Nearly every year, over ½ million students leave their countries to study in the U.S. Hundreds of Malagasy students have left Madagascar to continue their studies in the U.S. Here are a few reasons why they choose U.S. colleges and universities:

Academic Excellence

The United States has one of the world's finest university systems, with outstanding programs in virtually all fields. At the undergraduate level, excellent programs exist in traditional disciplines as well as in professional fields. At the graduate level, students often have the opportunity to work directly with some of the finest minds in the world.

Variety of Educational Opportunities

The higher education system in the United States has something for everyone. While some U.S. colleges stress broad educational principles, others specialize in technical fields, arts and social sciences; others emphasize practical, employment-oriented fields.
